Main duties of the job
The clinical fellows will be covering ECU, ITU, obstetrics and general anaesthesia with ST3s and Specialist Registrars. The main commitment will be at enhanced care unit at QMH. The post holders will be expected to provide cover at both Queen Mary's Hospital and Darent Valley Hospital.
When on-call, the fellows are responsible for the management of the patients in ECU at Queen Marys Hospital. They can be asked to cover other areas in the hospital, including theatres, obstetrics and ITU. They will be expected to support RSOs at QMH. When at DVH, they will be expected to support the ST1/2 in the management of general anaesthesia under the supervision of the ITU Consultant and Anaesthetic Consultant for out-of-hours, as well as supporting the care delivery within the operating theatres. The post holder will collaborate and be a member of the Cardiac Arrest and Trauma Team.
