Main duties of the job

Applications are invited forDivisional Medical Director (DMD) in the division of Women, Children, Radiology and Outpatients. The successful applicant will have a strong interest in clinical leadership and strategic development with previous evidence of leadership roles. A commitment to education and training or other evidence of academic achievement will be an advantage. We have many strategic aspirations for the organisation. One is to increase our research footprint and gain university status accreditation. Another is to introduce robotic surgery. As such, any active research colleagues or robotic enthusiasts are encouraged to apply.

The appointee will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and be accountable to the Chief Medical Officer.

The Trust welcomes both internal and external Consultants for the DMD role. The appointee will devote 4 PAs to the Divisional Medical Director role. Interested external applicants are encouraged to make contact early, to allow exploration of the additional 6PA Clinical role.

Applicants should have an appropriate CCST/CCT or equivalent or be within 6 months of obtaining CCST/ CCT.
