Job summary
The Critical Care Systems team require a forward thinking dynamic person to work closely with nursing staff and Clinicians sometimes in a clinical environment. You will be providing on going, training, support and advice to staff with regards to the systems, auditing data on a daily basis and producing weekly/monthly reports and statistics for Clinicians, Senior Staff and outside organisations.
As Systems Administrator you will be responsible for the administration service at QMH for the clinical system, Theatreman, maintaining the system, training and support to end users.We are looking for someone who is a strong communicator, friendly and outgoing used to working as part of a team and initiative when working alone who has a sound knowledge of IT including Microsoft Office and advanced Excel Skills.
The candidate must be confident reliable and outgoing, used to dealing with people with strong personalities from different cultures and backgrounds.

Main duties of the job
To assist in the responsibility for the management of the Theatre Administration System TheatreMan, Including the day to day running, support, training, security, data quality, auditing, data entry and provide information for reporting.
To be responsible for cover of the above mentioned systems in the absence of the Surgical Division Systems Manager.
The post holder will be expected to manage their own workload, taking advice from their Manager if required.

Assist the Divisional Service Manager with the day to day running and enhancements for the Critical Care Directorate Systems.
To be responsible for cover of the Critical Care Directorate systems in the absence of the Activity Service Manager.
Liaise with the system supplier and system users to resolve application faults, providing support, advice and instruction on system use.
Liaise with the Trust IM&T Directorate to resolve network or hardware faults or problems.
Regularly verify the quality of system data ensuring all errors are amended promptly and accurately to ensure the integrity of the system.
Support the Activity Service Manager in the production of training material for existing and new staff on usage of the Critical Care Directorates computer systems.
Support and provide training programmes for the Critical Care Directorate systems.
Liaise with the Trust IM&T Department to ensure the production of complete and accurate information to support service management and planning functions.
Interpret clinical staff and Senior Managers requests and generate reports to assist them in their reporting requirements, specifying report formats and transferring data into Excel requiring advanced Excel knowledge and problem solving skills.
Ensure system security, arranging the creation and maintenance of users passwords and screen access.
Investigate and resolve incorrect use of the systems to prevent corruption of data.
Carry out general development, enhancements and upgrades, testing and validation of the Directorates systems, providing an effective service and advice to users.
Attend internal and external meetings and seminars relevant to the role to support on-going development of information within the directorate.
To be responsible for reporting details of patients cancelled on the day of surgery due to non-clinical reasons on a daily and weekly basis to the SITREPs collator and General Managers.
Maintain own professional development and attend relevant study sessions where required.
