Job summary

The Role of the Registered Nursing Associate is to (assist and) support the qualified health professionals in ensuring optimal care for the patients and the success of the trust. The delivery of high quality, effective and compassionate health care to the patients of the Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust is the most important objective for the organisation.

Main duties of the job

To support the team (qualified practitioners) in the delivery of a seven-day, twenty-four hour service, this includes:o Providing effective evidence-based care for patients referred to the service under the indirect supervision of qualified practitionerso Using personal effectiveness and knowledge to contribute to the development and delivery of a high-quality, cost-effective service.o To work closely with the Multidisciplinary Teamo To promote a positive image of the trust, service and department.o To complete the Band 4 competency framework within the identified time scale.o To manage a team of Health Care support Workers and co-ordinate the volunteers in the areao To act as a support for the clinical support workers.
