Job summary
The Band 7 Dietitian jointly leads the paediatric dietetic team and service based across North Hampshire Hospital and Royal Hampshire County Hospital. The successful candidate will work as an autonomous practitioner to assess and treat complex patients. Be responsible for service development, setting and monitoring standards of practice and implementing policies.
Main duties of the job
The candidate will work as an autonomous practitioner to assess and treat complex patients. Be responsible for service development, setting and monitoring standards of practice and implementing policies alongside a second Paediatric Dietetic team lead. This is required across all sites of HHFT.

- BSc nutrition and dietetics or equivalent
- HCPC registered
- Post registration qualification(s) in field of paediatrics and CF

- Member of relevant special interest group
- Leadership qualification / experience
Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- Significant experience in working in paediatrics, diabetes and neonates
- Evidence of continued professional development (CPD) clearly recorded for professional profile
- A broad awareness and understanding of current health issues and to demonstrate a good understanding of DOH plans and recent initiatives
Desirable
- Experience of staff supervision and mentorship including, employee relations, performance, conduct and training needs analysis
