Job summary
This varied and proactive administrative role will support the Haematology Admin service to deliver best practice, clinical care to Haematology patients across HHFT.
The Haematology service was developed to support patients undergoing treatment.
This role will provide administrative and data support to the team to ensure that the clinicians are spending as much time with patients as possible. This role will be pivotal in developing, managing and maintaining an Haematology database which will be used to deliver safe and effective acute oncology services.
The day-to-day function of the role will include booking appointments, and subsequent follow up appointments, E-outcoming clinic's, and any other data entry as and when required.
Main duties of the job
To book all appointments including telephone and face to face into the patient booking system, e-outcome all clinic's, ensuring any actions are completed and patients discharge appropriately.
Typing and checking clinic letters.
To complete general administrative duties.
to take and manage incoming e-referrals to the team, ensuring that they are passed to appropriate clinician within a timely manner.
