An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Portering team at our Winchester site as a Bank Porter.
As a Bank Porter in Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust you will play an important part in the provision of excellent care to our patients, and be part of a friendly and dedicated team. Porters play a crucial part in keeping the hospital working by moving patients, goods and equipment between wards and departments to where they are needed in addition to controlling and removing the clinical waste to keep out Hospital clean and hygienic.
Main duties of the job
The Bank is an ideal way of earning extra money or starting a career in the Trust. It offers work on an ad hoc or flexible basis as you will be covering shortages in staffing levels of our permanent staff, but ideally you will be available to work full time time hours across a variety of shifts 24/7 7 days a week.
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following:

- Ability to maintain the confidentiality required when working in a patient environment

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT) provides hospital services to around 570,000 people living in Hampshire and parts of West Berkshire, and specialist services to patients from all over the country. We deliver a full range of district hospital services in a variety of locations.
The successful applicant must hold the following:
- Flexible in their approach to work in order to meet the needs of a busy hospital
- Willingness to work on a rolling or ad-hoc shift pattern to cover early, late, nights and weekend shifts
- Full Clean Driving License
- Experience in a hospital based environment is preferred but not essential.
