Main duties of the job
Who we are:
Situated within Cardiology we operate two Cardiac Cath Labs and 10 bed Daycase Unit that provide highly specialist care to our patients including : Coronary Angiography, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (Pressure Wire & IVUS) managing chronic total occlusions. A variety of pacing including basic and complex ~ ICD,CRT & sICD. Plus our ablation service. We also deliver a 24-hour Emergency PPCI Service which you will support as part of the On-Call team.
You will be well supported in all areas of the Cath Lab and be trained to Scrub, Circulate and manage a group of patients through pre-assessment, admission leading to a safe discharge. We also provide a 24hr/365 Emergency PPCI Service which is a very exciting and rewarding part of our work. Once competent you will join the on-call rota where a specialist team support our patients admitted straight to the Lab from within the hospital, ED, 999 and Air Ambulance.
