Job summary
This role is only open to applicants that currently work within an NHS Trust within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (HIOW ICS).
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join the leadership team within Peritoneal Malignancy, Haematology and Haemophilia.
You will be responsible for monitoring and forecasting demand and capacity, and ensuring patient access issues are identified and resolved promptly. You will also provide leadership and operational management skills to support multiple administrative teams, escalating to the Operational Services Managers (OSM) where appropriate and deputising for them.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the organisation and management of the administration staff within the service, and be responsible for all aspects of line management, including staff performance, staffing issues
To lead, with the direction of the OSM's, the effective planning and recruitment of staff within areas of responsibility to meet access, activity and quality targets within available resources.
Oversee the junior doctors including rota management, annual leave and study leave approvals and recruitment and selection.
Work with clinical teams toward managing changes required to meet demands
Lead quality initiatives across all services in line with local and national priorities.
Support the recruitment process of clinical and non-clinical staff
Arrange and lead regular departmental meetings, including taking a lead on governance meetings
Liaise regularly with appropriate consultants, clinicians and OSM's to ensure appropriate relationships are built
Support the preparation of business and operational plans
