Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Senior Paediatric Audiologist within Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust working across our sites. The successful applicant will be an integral part of our friendly Audiology team.

The Audiology department at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic and rehabilitative services for children and adults with hearing and balance disorders.

Main duties of the job

This job will involve carrying out routine and complex work in the Audiology department and outstations.

The main area of work will be in the Tier 2 Paediatric Service conducting paediatric hearing assessment clinics.

There will be some assist level work in the Tier 3 Paediatric Service and independent work in the Adult service to include hearing assessment, hearing aid fitting, follow-up, and repair clinics.

The post holder may be required to provide support to ENT carrying out routine hearing tests on adults and suitable children.

Applications are welcomed from experienced Audiologists, ideally those who have previously worked in an NHS setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a caring individual with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to utilise and further develop their expertise in audiological care.

The ability to work as part of a team or independently is essential, as is being able to manage a busy and varied workload. CPD is encouraged and there will be opportunities to support this.
