Job summary
This role is only open to applicants that currently work within an NHS Trust within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (HIOW ICS)
Overall responsibility for managing Child Health data and co-ordinating data collation for Trust reporting requirements, business unit service development and to support clinical activity.
Have a strong understanding of why data gathering is vital to support service delivery and new initiatives. Discuss data with managers and department leads, looking at trends and analysing findings.
To provide cover and support where needed in the delivery of maintaining and coordinating the diabetes databases in order to evidence compliance with Diabetes Best Practice Tariff requirements.
Main duties of the job
o Provide reports as necessary, utilising in house IT systems, word processing, excel, statistical and presentation packages (e.g. PowerPoint) to support child health business.
o To be responsible for supporting team leaders in working with Business Intelligence Department to ensure dashboards and monthly divisional performance reports are provided in line with the schedule.
o Assist team leaders in any service reviews, providing relevant data and activity as required. Undertake comparisons of data from different sources to ensure quality of accuracy.
o To gather and present data to support audit, peer review and other activities.
o To be responsible for the monitoring of data input to ensure and maintain accuracy and consistency.
o To implement and maintain processes to monitor/improve data quality in line with standing operating procedures and an understanding of good practice
o To support and assist the Operational Services Manager, Deputy Operational Services Manager or Lead Nurse with any reasonable requests for data reports and projects.
o Have a clear understanding of 18 week referral to treatment process, validating the 18 week PTL if required and deputising for post holder to cover leave.
o To be responsible for the gathering, distribution and tracking of resolutions of the monthly Child Health inconclusive episodes data.
