Job summary

Part time 23 hours per week

The role is a primary function supporting the team for the optimal care of our patients. The delivery of high quality, effective and compassionate health care to the patients of the Hampshire FT is the most important objective of the organisation.

There is an expectation to support both private patients business unit occasionally ( the need to work on the private ward as well as clinic as and when the need arises).

Main duties of the job

o To support the team in the delivery of the service, this includes:

o High standards of Professional Practice to ensure quality and safety of patient care, experience, and the patient journey.

o Developing own clinical practice, knowledge, skills, and experience.

o Acting as a good role model

o Supporting the team in ensuring that clinical services are delivered to a high quality of care and that all compliance requirements such as CQC and contractual requirements are achieved.

o To undertake the comprehensive pre-assessment of patients using appropriate investigative and history taking skills.

o Ability to undertake practical clinical skills such as assisting consultants with clinical procedures as well as ability to work independently to provide optimal clinical services to the patients.

o Ability to work within own scope of practice and have judgment to seek guidance as required.

  • To support the team leaders in ensuring safe and effective clinical services - assisting in formulating and adjusting rotas to ensure appropriate number and skill of workforce available when required by the service, meeting the Trusts on-going requirements for roster management, supporting other clinical areas as required.
