Job summary
Working within a team of specialist Consultants and junior doctors in training, the post holder will be expected to initiate and provide sound clinical/medical practices to patients presented to the medical SDEC, whilst supporting patients' family and friends demonstrating the patient is the central focus of care.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the job are to act as a senior decision maker within the medical SDEC unit with oversight of the patient needs through assessment, diagnostics and treatment planning and intervention. You will be working alongside a group of experiences ACPs and nursing staff actively pulling patients from the front door as well as reviewing any ongoing caseload of patients.
