JOB OVERVIEW
We are excited to be able to combine our current Band 6 rotational posts at Winchester and Basingstoke so you can rotate across both sites. Within the acute teams at RHCH and BNHH we cover over 800 beds and provide Band 6 rotations in the following specialities:
- Intensive Care, General Surgery
- Women's Health and Cardiology
- General Medicine (Respiratory/ Gastro/ Endocrine)
- Front Door (Acute Assessment Unit/ Emergency Department)
- Elderly Care
Main duties of the job
As a Band 6 Physiotherapist at HHFT you can expect to receive regular and robust supervision by the Band 7 Clinical Lead, to lead on the service improvement projects, to supervise a Band 5 and Therapy Assistant colleagues and to provide clinical support and guidance to Therapy Students from our partner Universities. Other responsibilities include participation in teaching for therapy staff and the wider MDT, with opportunities to facilitate simulation training.

- HCPC registration

Experience/Knowledge

- Evidence recent and continuous appropriate band 5 rotational experience
- Demonstrate effective management of own workload and autonomous practice
- Knowledge & experience within the NHS in a wide range of medical conditions and awareness of evidence based practice, including patient flow and discharges
- Evidence of undertaking relevant post graduate training/ CPD including reflective practice
- Experience in on-call service
Desirable
- Previous appropriate Band 6 Experience
- Experience in community/ASD
- Evidence of researching HHFT as an employer and expressing wanting to work for the Trust
- Experience providing training to teams

- Effective verbal and written communication skills
