Job summary
The homecare medicines service at Hampshire Hospitals co-ordinate the supply of medication to over 3,000 patients with long term conditions. The homecare service is in high demand and we are extremely excited to offer a brand new role for a highly organised, enthusiastic & motivated colleague to join our team.
The successful candidate will be supporting a wide range of projects within a highly proactive and supportive team. We are looking for a great team player who will be involved within the service and will benefit from gaining invaluable skills and insight into the homecare sector.
Main duties of the job
To support and assist the Pharmacy Homecare Senior Technician and Lead Homecare Pharmacists throughout the homecare pathway, in cost effective procurement and safe and effective supply of medicine to patients via third party homecare companies for Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT).
To ensure all pharmacy duties are carried out in accordance with legal guidelines and departmental and Trust procedures.
To support in the planning and implementing of projects such as biosimilar switches and contract implementation to ensure homecare services are in line with cost effective procurement, within the Trust's Standing Financial Instructions in relation to homecare.
To act upon and managing any price queries or problems, investigating and resolving discrepancies and ensuring invoices are processed in a timely manner.
Undertake regular operational commitment to maintain competencies and demonstrate fitness to practice as a pharmacy technician. To undertake any other duties applicable to the grade/post as required.
