Main duties of the job

You will have a strong haematology, biochemistry or transfusion background and be looking to develop managerial and professional responsibilities in a progressive and forward-thinking department, working with a friendly and collaborative team within blood sciences.

The successful candidate will have experience of change management and provide operational leadership for the department going forwards. You will be instrumental in developing quality improvement and innovation initiatives for the Winchester essential services laboratory.

The post holder will be the Quality Lead for the whole of Blood Sciences across both sites.

The Successful candidate will be required to participate in the 24/7 out of hours operational manager on-call rota and travel between Trust sites as required.

You will be required to maintain your laboratory competencies to provide shift cover in the event of an emergency.
