Are you an experienced diabetic nurse? Join HHFT's expanding and established multidisciplinary team focused on incorporating emerging therapies to improve patients monitoring, treatment and care.
We have 1 part time 30 hours per week role available, based in Winchester with occasional cross site working.
You will deliver education and support for people with diabetes and their families regarding treatment and lifestyle changes. Supporting inpatient and outpatient care

Main duties of the job
Our Trust currently provides comprehensive diabetes services including insulin initiation and management, emerging therapies, insulin pump therapy, care of gestational diabetes and diabetes in pregnancy, care of young adults and Type 1 diabetes education.
The post holder will need to deliver education and support for people with diabetes and their families regarding treatment and lifestyle changes.
An integral part of the role is to work with the Team to implement local and national guidance for diabetes to deliver high standards of diabetes care throughout the Trust. Positive leadership, good communication and expert knowledge are required.

- Registered Nurse/ Current NMC registration
- ENB 998 or teaching qualification
- Diploma or Degree level education or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through any combination of alternative study, or employment experience

- Additional post graduate learning in specialist field including master's degree or working towards
- Management qualification
Experience and Knowledge

- Significant post registration experience of managing patients with diabetes
- Experience of Pump technologies and CGM devices
- Experience of teaching and mentorship for learners and peers
- Experience of planning/implementing or evaluating change within healthcare
- Working knowledge of the NHS and of the role of the band 7 CNS nurse within it
- Evidence of implementing significant changes or service developments that promote good practice
