Job summary
This exciting new post is key in providing exceptional patient care to our Haematology and Oncology Patients.
The specialty administrator will play a key role in ensuring that patients appointments are booked and letters are typed and sent within a timely manner, amongst other vitally important tasks.
This role will sit across both Haematology and Oncology and therefore your work will be varied and fast paced. There will also be a requirement to work at both Basingstoke and Winchester Hospital as the service requires.
Main duties of the job
- Support an efficient and smooth-running transcription service in line with national and local policy.
- Support the Speciality Co-ordinator's and Assistant's to ensure that letters on the transcription database are checked, and corrections are made where necessary.
- Support the Speciality Assistant's/Co-ordinator's with simple data entry.
- Support the Speciality Assistant's/Co-ordinator's with bookings appointments when necessary.
