Job summary

We are one of the UK's leading centres for the treatment of Pseudomyxoma Peritonei. Our specialist unit also provides care for patients undergoing elective surgery such as Liver resections, Colorectal and Urological procedures. The care of our patients is clinically complex and requires the involvement of specialist nurses, physiotherapists, pharmacists and nutritionists. You will be working closely with a truly multidisciplinary team, on a ward which has currently obtained a Silver ward accreditation score.

Main duties of the job

Previous experience in this area is not essential as in-house training will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped to meet the demands of this role.

Daily duties include all aspects of pre and post operative surgical nursing care. Management of NG tubes and feeds, CVC lines, Abdominal and Chest drains, PCA, Epidural, Catheters, care planning, wound management, discharge planning and maintaining excellent patient satisfaction..
