Job summary
We are looking for hard working and pro active Health Care Assistants to join our team working in Theatres at the North Hampshire Hospital. We have 7 Operating Theatres covering a wide range of specialities including Orthopaedics/ Colorectal/ Hepatobiliary/ Urology/ Gynae and Obstetrics. As a HCA working within Theatres, you will support the team during operating procedures as well as playing a crucial role in the efficient turn around of Theatres to maximise utilisation.
Main duties of the job
To work with supervision and guidance in providing and maintaining a high standard of patient care for those patients undergoing surgery. The post holder will be expected to undertake Peri-operative circulating duties and work as part of a multi-professional team. The post holder will also be required to collect patients from the ward, escort them to the anaesthetic room/theatre, providing comfort and support whilst maintaining respect, privacy and dignity and confidentiality.
