Job summary

Working within a team of specialist Consultants and junior doctors in training, the post holder will be expected to initiate and provide sound clinical/medical practices to patients admitted to the Medicine division, whilst supporting patients' family and friends demonstrating the patient is the central focus of care. The post involves participation in the on-call rota.

The post holder will be predominately based at Royal Hampshire County Hospital, but should also be prepared to work at any HHFT site if required.

  • MBBS or equivalent
  • GMC registration
  • Basic Life Support
  • Management of medical admissions at ST3+ level
  • MRCP Part 1 and Part 2

Desirable

  • Evidence of continuing professional updating
  • Awards/distinctions whilst study for 1st or 2nd Degree
  • Advanced Life Support
  • MRCP
  • Prior experience of working within NHS in the last 6 months.
