Job summary

A UK Driver Licence with B1 category entitlement, held for a minimum 3 years, is essential. D1 minibus category is also desirable. Candidates will need to work in a team and provide a safe and efficient service.

Main duties of the job

The Trust employs a dedicated team of drivers providing light goods delivery and passenger transport services using a modern fleet of vans and minibuses between major HHFT hospitals and the wider healthcare community around Hampshire.This important role involves the delivery and collection of specimen samples, pharmaceuticals, letter post and parcel post, ensuring the Trust provides the highest level of care and support to our patients and staff. In this role, drivers can also expect to deliver a varied mix of assorted miscellaneous items such as medical supplies and essential equipment.

Where qualified, drivers could expect to undertake NHS staff shuttle transfers between Basingstoke and Winchester using a 16-passenger seat minibus.We are looking for staff that can commit to a varied work pattern based on 37.5 hours per week including occasional weekend working (for which an enhanced rate is payable).
