What You'll Do
  • Lead daily ward rounds and manage respiratory patients.
  • Perform pleural procedures including drainage and aspiration.
  • Supervise junior doctors and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in outpatient clinics and quality improvement projects.
What We're Looking For
  • MBChB, MBBS or equivalent, ideally with MRCP.
  • Experience in respiratory medicine at registrar level.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead under pressure.
  • Commitment to personal development and teamwork.

Main duties of the job

Clinical Care: Lead daily ward rounds, manage respiratory patients, and perform procedures such as pleural drainage and aspiration. Leadership: Supervise junior doctors and foster teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment. Outpatient Work: Option to participate in respiratory clinics and develop advanced procedural skills. Professional Development: Engage in CPD, audits, and quality improvement initiatives. Communication: Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues.

  • Pleural ultrasound skills and Bronchscopy

  • Up to date knowledge of respiratory medicine.
  • Good organisation, time and management skills and Computer literacy
