We are offering a band 5 to 6 development role which would be suitable for a newly qualified dietitian or someone looking to further develop their paediatric skills. We are based at the Great Western Hospital and our friendly and supportive team consists of dietitians, dietetic assistants, nutrition nurses and admin team.
Our paediatric teams supports our inpatient ward, neonatal unit, general paediatric outpatient clinics, Type 1 diabetes service and home enterally fed babies and children.
We are committed to learning and development and provide placement opportunities for T level students, pre registration dietitians & apprentices. We have excellent access to CPD opportunities.

Main duties of the job
Band 5
To provide effective dietetic treatment for a delegated caseload of paediatric in-patients and out-patients at the Great Western Hospital with support and training provided by specialist paediatric dietitians to ensure appropriate professional conduct and development.
Band 6
The post holder will provide and support the development of the dietetic service for paediatric patients.Other aspects of the role include working as a key part of multidisciplinary and dietetic teams, participating in student training, work experience and return to practice programmes within the department and supporting the development of Dietetic outcomes.To take the lead on department wide priority, project or representative role for the team.

- Supervised dietetic placement - evidence of B & C placements or recent band 5 experience
