We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Clinical Practice Educator Team as a ward-based Children's Clinical Practice Educator. This pivotal role will focus on delivering education and training to support our Registered Nurses and learners across the Children's ward and Children's Emergency Unit (CEU) to support their career journey from entry to expert.
The postholder will be Children's NMC registered and will work closely with the CPE leads, linking into the academy to support high quality educational services to enhance the care of children across the two units
Main duties of the job
As the successful candidate you will promote a positive learning experience for learners using methods of teaching, coaching and supervision and provide support and training for both registered and Unregistered staff.
You will work closely and collaboratively with the Ward Managers, Matrons, Practice assessors/supervisors and AHP's to ensure there is robust oversight of the training and development needs for their areas of responsibility.
As a role model you will promote the sharing of good practice, delivery of high quality, effective and efficient care underpinned by the NMC standards.

- Degree in health-related subject
- Up to date clinical competencies to include Venepuncture, cannulation, Medication and IV administration, PICC lines and NGT/catheter insertion
Desirable
- Leadership qualification/ training

- Evidence of planning and policy development around education and practice
- Educated to master's level or equivalent experience in practice
