Job summary
We are looking for an outstanding individual keen to develop a role in academia complemented by a clinical role working in an acute hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist looking for a unique cross sector position. This joint appointment with the University of Bath will involve working collaboratively with other practice educators to design, deliver and assess practice based learning elements of the pharmacy undergraduate degree course including Bath's very successful Clinical Learning in Practice (CLIP) model. The successful individual will be required to cover a range of face-to-face teaching activities and elements of assessment. There is also a requirement to provide pastoral support to individual students. As a clinical pharmacist there is the opportunity to practice as a non-medical prescriber. The post holder will divide their time equally between working for the University of Bath
Main duties of the job
Main Purpose of the JobWorking in a 50:50 split between GWH Pharmacy and UoB's Department of Pharmacy and Pharmacology,the post-holder will provide specialist clinical pharmacy services to agreed areas within the hospital. Theywill primarily be based at GWH and lead the local design, delivery and assessment of practice-based learning for undergraduate pharmacy students at UoB, with some off-site and campus-based teaching by agreement.
To support responsible person and deputies in ensuring that the facilities and service are compliant with allaspects of Good Distribution Practice (EU GDP 2013/C 343/01), and all other relevant medicines regulations and quality standards. To manage related training provision to all operational staff within the facility. To act as an operational lead in any relevant aspects of regulatory audit (internal and external).
