Team Lead - Paediatric Specialist Dietitian Band 7 - 37.5 hours per week
Are you a passionate and experienced dietitian ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a dynamic and compassionate leader to join our friendly team. Your skills will shape the care of babies, children and young people across our services. You will lead a dedicated team of 4 paediatric dietitians and a dietetic assistant working across inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
In addition to team lead responsibilities, you will have responsibility for a defined cohort of patients. The team currently provide a general in and outpatient service as well as specialist diabetes service, supporting multi-allergy patients, babies on the neonatal unit and home enterally fed patients. There is some scope for flexibility in the clinical caseload depending on successful applicants clinical experience.
You will be expected to lead on service development, audit and quality improvement projects. Collaborate with MDT colleagues and support student training and CPD activities across the wider team. We offer excellent opportunities for professional development.

Main duties of the job
To lead on the provision of specialist paediatric dietetic service across an inpatient, outpatient and community settings in the Swindon area.To work as an autonomous practitioner providing expert care to children and young people requiring dieteticinput.To lead service development in across the paediatric dietetic team and to work closely with the multi-disciplinary team.To work as team lead for the paediatric dietetic team, undertaking line management duties and to providesupport for other team leads and the Head of service for Nutrition and Dietetics.

- Extensive experience in applying dietetic care process in a range of clinical conditions in paediatrics including dietetic assessment, interpretation, individual care planning, motivation, monitoring and evaluation of highly specialised paediatric dietetic treatment. ? Wide experience of working in multi-disciplinary/ multi-professional team working with a diverse range of groups e.g. Patients, doctors, specialist nurses etc. ?
