Job summary

Band 3 Receptionist Administrator for Shalbourne Private Healthcare Bank / Temporary position

This role is offered on a part time basis of 30 hours per week (this can be negotiated), this means that candidates interested in working part time are encouraged to apply and will receive a salary on a pro rata basis.

An opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist Administrator to join us in Shalbourne Private Healthcare within Great Western Hospital.

We are looking for a well presented, enthusiastic and professional person to join our Private Patient Team.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and must be reliable, flexible and have good time management/organisation skills, using your own initiative to prioritise your workload. You will also be committed to patient confidentiality.

The position is for 30 hours a week on a 2 week shift basis, week 1 Wednesday 1pm to 8pm, Thursday and Friday 8am to 8pm and week 2 Monday and Tuesday 8am to 8pm, Wednesday 8am to 2pm.

Please note the hours / shift pattern can be negotiated.

Main duties of the job

Provide a welcoming front of house service at any of our department receptions; receiving patients and visitors and processing patient paperwork as they arrive for appointments, using our electronic patient record system and dealing with any enquiries that arise. You will also be dealing with occasional telephone enquiries on behalf of the Unit.

Provide flexible support and cover across the Reception Team as indicated by service need.
