Job summary
The postholder will, under the direction of the IT Technical Operations Manager, be expected to provide a comprehensive server and desktop infrastructure and implementation support service to the Trust.
Ensure documentation is produced and staff trained to support the ICT Business Continuity requirements.
You will be expected to ensure that a proactive approach to infrastructure support and design is adopted and that standard ways of working relating to server build, commissioning and recovery testing are achieved. You will help manage the Trust Active Directory and assigned IT Services. You will work closely with IT Project Managers supporting the various projects being undertaken and be expected to provide advice and guidance to ensure the correct infrastructure design is selected and that the Trust achieves best use and value from the Infrastructure used. You will work closely with the IT Technical Support Teams and will participate in the technical support duties to ensure that safe and efficient support processes are used. You will be exposed to administrative and all clinical areas including theatres and the morgue therefore you will be expected to communicate with all staff in an appropriate and sensitive manner.
