Job summary

To work as part of the Delivery/Warehouse Team, delivering installing and collecting daily living aids and medical devices, to maintain service users in their own homes. In addition, the post holder will assist with cleaning equipment, manual storekeeping and carrying out minor repairs.

Main duties of the job

1. Customer service, both face to face and via telephone with service users,/carers and family and/orhealth professional.2. To complete safe delivery of daily living aids and medical device equipment following transport rules and regulations.3. Delivery, installation and collection of daily living aids and Medical Device Equipment - following safe systems of work and established processes and procedures.4. When delivering equipment, deal with potentially difficult situations in a sensitive and professional manner.5. To carry out daily safety checks on vehicle and ensure vehicle is kept in a clean and safe condition on a daily / weekly basis.6. To assist with Equipment Cleaning, Quality Control and locating equipment in Stores area.7. To select items of equipment for delivery round.

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above or equivalent compensatory experience
  • Full Drivers Licence

  • Experience of driving a Transit size van or similar vehicle in residential areas

  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
