Specialist Anaesthetist
Full Time 10 PA's permanent role
We have an exciting opportunity for career progression as a specialist anaesthetist in a busy DGH. We have two full time (10PA posts) that focus mainlyon elective service delivery Monday to Friday. There is an out of hours contribution to the trauma rota for seven weekends per year and two bank holidays.
The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate high levels of clinical autonomy. They will be self motivated and have participated in meaningful quality improvement and clinical governance.
We have 12 SAS anaesthetists already, many of whom have progressed their careers within the department. They contribute to non-clinical activities within the department and wider Trust and this would be actively encouraged for new colleagues.
A track record in trauma anaesthesia is essential but we welcome other sub-specialty interests, and these can be accommodated within the job plan
These are new posts to deliver elective and trauma capacity. The successful candidates will join an existing team of 50 senior medical staff including Consultants & SAS doctors. On joining the department, you will become part of a well-established, friendly team and will help us continue to drive forward improvements in the service that we provide to our patients.
