Job summary

We have an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Recruitment Specialist to join our Resourcing team at the Great Western Hospitals for 30 hours per week on a fixed term contract for 12 months.

The Recruitment Specialist will provide expert advice in recruitment, sourcing through the development of advertising campaigns with a focus on all senior and junior medical roles including rotations. As the specialist for our medical division, you will be responsible for creating advertising strategies which build on the employer brand and leading on initiatives to attract and retain colleagues by identifying innovative and creative ways of filling specialist posts using a variety of avenues.

This role will be integral in helping us carry out our future vision and promote the Trust as a great place to work. You will be responsible forleading a team of three Recruitment Coordinators and will work closely with the Medical HR Partners toprovide a high quality, customer-focused recruitment service.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will provide a comprehensive medical staffing recruitment service to all Divisions and contribute to a high quality and responsive service to managers and staff. This will include ensuring that all recruitment for senior and junior medical staff is delivered effectively and meets local and national key performance indicators and adhering to NHS Employers guidelines for pre-employment checks.

You will take the for-Deanery rotations and ensure that the Recruitment Coordinators for each Division have all the junior doctor rotations from the Deanery and that any gaps are identified and recruited to as quickly as possible. This includes a leading role in the main Junior Doctor rotations such as August/February. Supervise the adherence to Nationally set contractual KPIs such as the 8- and 12-week rules for trainee doctors.

The post holder will have their own workload as well as supporting other key administrative tasks as part of the team. You will need exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a strong background in Recruitment and experience in working in a pressurised environment. Qualities of a successful candidate would include:

  • Knowledge in Medical Recruitment /Staffing
  • Experience in a supervisory role (This would be advantageous but is not essential)
