Job summary

This is a senior operational management position, providing effective leadership and direction to all staff and contractors providing Private Ambulance Services (PAS).

Main duties of the job

The post holder will hold the staff and contractors within their area to account for ensuring operational and clinical performance, to contribute to national performance standards and local Key Performance Indicators, which support optimal clinical outcomes and best patient experience and safety.

The post holder will be responsible for the implementation, and future development, of EEAST's Clinical/UEC Strategy, focusing internally on Trust development whilst working closely alongside their Line Manager, who will be focusing externally on wider integrated care and collaborative working.

The post holder will play a major part in the service planning process of the Trust and will be involved in a number of key strategic and operational developments, including significant business change processes.

They will be responsible for the management and safe provision of Private Ambulance Services. This will require an ability to communicate clearly and concisely within the Organisation and with external agents.

In collaboration with other leaders in Finance, Procurement, Planning & Resourcing, and Safeguarding, ensure continuous evaluation of clinical activities, standards, and service development.

Assist and support the development of cultural improvement, ensure the clinical quality agenda is continuously developed and evaluated through clinical audit and to be accountable for clinical performance in the PAS Sector.

  • Master's degree, Level 7 or equivalent professional qualification, and/or substantial demonstrable experience in a similar role or setting.
  • Management qualification equivalent to ILM Level 4 or above, or equivalent experience.
