Job summary

We are seeking applications for the role of Recruitment Specialist.

This is a remote role however the post holder will be expected to based in Essex, as this role will focus on delivery to EOC recruitment objectives within this sector and will require regular travel to events and meetings within Essex and on occasion across all sectors within the Trust.

As this role involves community engagement and recruitment publicity and relationship management occasional weekend work may be required due to events, Job fairs, etc.

As a Recruitment Specialist, you will work within designated geographical areas working closely with Trust managers, Recruitment Team Leads, Specialists and Management to support the delivery of the recruitment plan. Collaborating with Recruitment team members, Talent Acquisition Team and Head of Resourcing to deliver to the agreed workforce plan ensuring a cost-effective service, operating within employment legislation, Trust policies, procedures, and best HR practice, leading the team to provide high levels of customer service at all times.

You will work with a Team of 7 other Remote Recruitment Specialists based within other sectors under the Head of Resourcing and Talent Acquisition Manager as part of our newly forming Talent Acquisition Team!

As a Recruitment Specialist you will be required to advise and support potential applicants and Trust managers with implementing best practice in relation to Recruitment and Selection

Main duties of the job

An opportunity has arisen within our Workforce team for a Recruitment Specialist to work with Recruitment Team Leads to deliver recruitment plans.

This is an opportunity for you to build your portfolio experience within an HR/Resourcing environment, working with managers and staff side colleagues to ensure that the Trust has a fair and equitable process in place and complies with best practise.

This will involve providing HR advice where required relating to the recruitment and on-boarding process and relevant employment law and legislation.

Job responsibilities

The post holder will lead on the day-to-day management of local recruitment within designated geographical areas for the Trust. They will work with stakeholders, to deliver recruitment plans to provide the right workforce required by EEAST to deliver excellent patient care and meet the regulators requirements. This includes the development of new sources of staffing. They will research, develop, and manage attraction activities to target candidates including recruitment campaigns, working with colleagues and external partners including Higher Education providers to deliver against the workforce plan; ensuring at all times that the essential requirements of safe, legal and values-based recruitment are met in a timely manner with customer focused approach.

The post holder will lead on bulk recruitment for A&E Operations working closely and collaboratively with the Recruitment Team to ensure delivery of a high quality, customer focused, recruitment and selection service to managers and staff within the Trust in accordance with Trust policies and procedures, NHS Employers Standards, employment legislation and national policy.

Manage workload effectively within an often-pressured environment and ensure all deadlines are met despite competing and challenging deadlines. There will be a frequent requirement for concentration, coupled with an unpredictable work pattern, that will be subject to regular interruptions and queries, that may require a change of direction and workload to meet new or conflicting priorities.

  • British Psychological Society Level A and Level B Accredited Courses
  • Recognised qualification and registration with the associated regulatory body

Skills and Knowledge

  • Required to analyse situation and choose from a range of options, with some degree of investigation required.

Experience

  • Experience of working within Recruitment and delivering recruitment campaigns
  • Working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience of high-volume recruitment, ideally in an NHS or healthcare environment
  • Experience of leading on projects and or recruitment campaigns.
  • Proven track record in using social media for advertising job opportunities
  • Significant experience of working in a complex role which requires the collation and interpretation of data and the development of information systems
