Job summary
This role manages the supply, repair and replacement of critical IT equipment for frontline paramedics completing Electronic Patient Care Records to handover at hospitals.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient ordering and tracking of devices and accessories, as well as the diligent and well organised management of timely returns.
You will have a track record of dealing methodically with tasks and be disciplined and well organised. You will be naturally curious to understand the full end to end process, the importance of each step in the process, and the wider impact on others if these are not followed.
You will be able to demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, and be someone who understands the necessity of comprehensive record keeping, to provide a full audit trail to support a strong contract management regime and efficient invoice checking by colleagues.
You will be committed to seeing tasks through to completion, keeping track of their progress along the way. Due to the evolving nature of the post you need to have the ability to learn at a fast pace, not be afraid to ask questions, and be approachable and confident in dealing with key stakeholders including suppliers.
You will be experienced, confident and competent using Office 365 at an advanced level, particularly Excel and Word. You will be an effective team player, with good communication and teamworking skills.
Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Technical Support Manager/Digital Service Manager: Service Desk, the post holder will provide second line technical support to end user devices, peripherals, and associated software packages to IT users located across all sites. These tasks will include, but are not limited to, installation, maintenance, upgrades, fault diagnosis and repair.
Specifically, the post holder will:
- Ensure a range of digital information is processed in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Investigate a range of digital issues.
- Advise users on systems/policy.
- Develop or adapt a range of software/web pages/information reports, or install/maintain a range of hardware and software, or analyse interpret a range of information/data, or deliver digital training.
- Carry out asset management tasks across the life cycle of Trust digital hardware.
The post holder may be required to travel to the Trust's other sites for work purposes, so the ability to travel is essential.
