Job summary
To support and enhance the professional psychological care provided to young people and to provide support to professionals working with those young people within NSFT and Norfolk County Council, across all aspects of care;
Providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified clinical/counselling psychologist, working independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified clinical/counselling psychologist and within the overall framework of the teams' policies and procedures.
To assist in clinically related administration, teaching, and project work.
To take part in research; to collect, input and analyse routine data and to report this to clinical teams, managers, and others, including stakeholders.
Main duties of the job
To carry out protocol based and HSB specific psychological assessments of patients, including neuropsychological tests, self- report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi- structured interviews with patients and others involved in their care, under the supervision of a qualified Clinical/CounsellingPsychologist. To assist in the formulation and delivery of patient care involving the psychological treatment and/or management of a patient's problems, under the supervision of a qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
Where required and appropriate, to assist in the coordination and running of therapeutic groups, under the supervision of a qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist. Where required and appropriate, to prepare psychology reports, under the supervision of a qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist. Where required and appropriate, to attend and contribute to appropriate multi- disciplinary meetings. To discharge statutory social care functions as delegated under Section 75 agreement with Norfolk County Council for Service Users and Carers on behalf of the organisation (For Norfolk Service Users only). To provide appropriate health and social care interventions according to service users' recovery goals (For Norfolk Service Users only). To assess health and social care needs as part of an integrated team and implement/commission packages of care where appropriate. (For Norfolk Service Users only)

This post is based within the Harmful Sexual Behaviour Team. You will have a locality base but much of your working week will be out and about in the community or working from home so you must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle to meet the requirements of the post. In line with our current ways of working, youll be expected to be in the office at least 2 days a week, in addition to team days.
We have close relationships with the Clinical Psychology Doctorate training course at the University of East Anglia and routinely offer placements to trainee clinical psychologists. We also have an excellent research department in the Trust and the team are engaged in several on going research projects. There will also be opportunities to link an liaise with other assistant psychologists and psychological practitioners working within NCC.
