Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest providers of Talking Therapies services in the country. We are currently seeking a passionate, motivated, and inspirational leader to work within our Step 1 Team as a Clinical Team Leader to join our recommissioned Suffolk service, which provides evidence-based psychological therapies to people aged 16 and over.
Suffolk Talking Therapies is research active and is working closely with the University of East Anglia, a UK Top 25 university (Complete University Guide 2025) as both a provider of training for mental health professionals and a research partner as we build our portfolio of projects. We are also working with local acute and community healthcare providers, embedding our therapeutic staff within wider systems of health. The service has excellent access to ongoing training and specialist supervision.
We are committed to quality through external scrutiny and have recently been awarded accreditation following review by the Accreditation Programme for Psychological Therapies (APPTS), part of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, College Centre for Quality Improvement assurance programme.

You will be involved in supporting the front door to the service, planning and coordinating pathways and outcomes for people with common mental health problems wanting to access and receive support from service.
We offer a range of psychological, employment and social interventions across Suffolk.
Our Step 1 Team plays a crucial role in early intervention, identifying service suitability via triage and assessment to ensure individuals are on the right pathway from the moment they reach out for help. This role will be providing operational and clinical supervision to the team of clinicians at Step 1.
You will be offered robust supervision and access to the NSFT Leadership Academy, providing opportunities for Coaching, Mentorship and Leadership training. The Service has strong links with the University of East Anglia and a keen interest in research at all steps.
