Assistant Psychologist - East & Central Suffolk Young Adult Mental Health Teams

We're seeking two pro-active, passionate, and motivated Assistant Psychologists to join our well-established and thriving East & Central Suffolk Young Adult Mental Health Services (YAMHS), based in Ipswich and Stowmarket. Our service provides highly specialist mental health treatment to young adults aged 18 - 25 years old; experiencing moderate to severe mental health disorders. There are many varied opportunities available within the service, working directly with young adults and families and involvement in service evaluation, audit, and clinical project work.

- Full-time based in Central Suffolk (Stowmarket) YAMHS - 12-month fixed term contract.

Main duties of the job
Psychological Support & Assessment
- Conduct protocol-based psychological assessments (e.g., neuropsychological tests, rating scales, structured interviews) under supervision.
- Assist in formulating and delivering psychological interventions and care plans.
- Support coordination and facilitation of therapeutic groups when required.
Clinical Administration & Reporting
- Prepare psychology reports under supervision.
- Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Maintain high standards of record keeping and report writing in line with BPS and Trust policies.
Teaching & Training
- Receive regular clinical supervision and develop teaching skills.
- Contribute to staff training and support programs within the team.
