We are pleased to invite prospective applicants to apply for a position to work in our CAMHS Ipswich team working within our pioneering Children, Families and Young People's (CFYP) Services.

Main duties of the job
The East Suffolk CAMHS service is seeking two enthusiastic and committed Consultant Psychiatrists to join a fully staffed (with 3 full time consultant psychiatrists) supportive multidisciplinary team. You will be joining SCAMHS team serving 0-18 yrs population group in East Suffolk. You will be based at the Walker Close, Ipswich. There is an opportunity for 1.6WTE vacancy post in SCAMHS along with specialist sessions within LD CAMHS (0.2 WTE vacancy) and the Suffolk-wide Connect service for Looked After Children (0.2 WTE vacancy), depending on interest and negotiation.
You will be working as part of a fully staffed multidisciplinary team, alongside two full-time Consultants and one Associate Specialist, contributing to the ongoing development of CAMHS and supporting expansion of newly developing under 18 crisis team.
You will be providing assessment and formulation for new referrals and maintaining a caseload of young people aged 0-18 with complex mental health presentations, including oversight of medication and treatment plans.
You will also be participating in weekly team meetings, clinical reviews, and multidisciplinary discussions, and offering clinical supervision and support to non-medical colleagues.
Delivering clinical care across a range of Trust settings, which may include other Trust sites, primary care locations, local acute hospitals, Children's Centres, and home visits where appropriate.
Working in accordance with NICE and QNCC standards, supporting ongoing service development and contributing to quality improvements across Suffolk CAMHS. The service follows the i-THRIVE Framework, a needs-led, person-centred approach that promotes shared decision-making and improves access to the right support at the right time.
Engaging young people in accessible, youth-friendly ways, with an emphasis on promoting healthy developmental trajectories and supporting transitions from childhood to adulthood.
