A new opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join the Adult ADHD Service covering Norfolk & Waveney. We are a supportive team who take pride in our work and receive excellent service-user feedback.

The role will encompass the recognised pillars of expert clinical practice, leadership, education, and research, with opportunity available for service evaluation and quality improvement projects.

We are looking for a hard-working, experienced clinician who is highly motivated and enthusiastic about working with people with ADHD, and who can work confidently, collaboratively, and creatively in a time of change and high demand.

You will have completed the Advanced Nurse Practitioner training at MSc level and hold the V300 non-medical prescribing qualification.

Experience of undertaking ADHD assessments in line with DSM 5/ICD 11 criteria, and ADHD medication treatment is essential, along with a demonstrable and relevant clinical background at clinical nurse specialist level including neurodevelopmental assessment, mental health, and related clinical fields.

You will be a clinician who is reflective, forward-thinking, values evidence-based practice and maintains awareness of national and local drivers for change within ADHD services.

This is a full-time post, and flexible working arrangements will be considered in keeping with service delivery needs.

Main duties of the job

You will:

Lead on and undertake diagnostic assessments and medication titration for adults meeting our service criteria, working independently and in collaboration with colleagues.

Provide leadership on and contribute to all aspects of the ADHD pathway including triage, screening, assessment, psychoeducation, medication titration and management, risk assessment, physical health monitoring.

Provide expert advice and consultation to other practitioners within NSFT and primary care.

Contribute to the education, and clinical skills development of colleagues and other practitioners within NSFT and primary care as agreed.

Provide expert-level clinical and caseload supervision to practitioners within the team.

Contribute to service evaluation and development, and continuous improvement.

Maintain a high standard of timely report-writing and record-keeping that sets example for colleagues.
