Job summary

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is embarking on a transformative journey to revolutionise the delivery of high-quality, effective care for our service users. We are seeking a dynamic and visionary EPR Programme Director to lead the procurement and implementation of a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system--an essential pillar of our improvement strategy.As the senior responsible owner, you will drive this high-profile, multi-million-pound programme from inception to successful delivery, ensuring tangible benefits for both service users and staff. You'll work closely with executive leaders, digital and clinical teams, and system partners across Norfolk and Suffolk, building strong collaborative relationships and expertly managing the complexities and risks of this innovative clinical transformation.You will chair programme delivery groups, present regularly to the Trust Board, and represent the Trust at regional and national digital forums. Main duties of the job

  • Lead the procurement and implementation of a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system across Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, ensuring delivery of programme outcomes, benefits, and objectives for service users and staff.
  • Act as the senior responsible owner for the EPR programme, working closely with executive leaders, digital and clinical teams, and system partners.
  • Establish and chair programme delivery groups, and regularly present progress and updates to the Trust Board.
  • Develop and implement robust change management, governance, and engagement strategies to support successful EPR delivery.
  • Identify and manage programme risks, interdependencies, and issues, ensuring effective mitigation and resolution.
  • Oversee the EPR programme budget, ensuring effective resource management and value for money.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including NHS England, Integrated Care Boards, and regional and national digital groups.
  • Ensure the deployment of new digital solutions is supported by appropriate education and training for staff.
  • Promote and uphold the Trust's values of working positively, respectfully, and together in all aspects of programme leadership.
