Carpenter/Joiner (Building Craftsperson) - Suffolk
Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) are looking for a skilled Carpenter/Joiner to join our existing multi-disciplinary professional maintenance team in providing a safe environment for all service users, staff and visitors across our Suffolk sites being based at Ipswich.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate would be flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and confident in being part of a team that provides a comprehensive maintenance service in a unique and varied environment.
Duties & Responsibilities Associated with this role:
- To provide a comprehensive service to include all aspects of planned and routine maintenance
- To repair and maintain a wide range of building components on site
- Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health and Safety and other relevant legislation
- Fault finding and diagnosis
- Routine inspections to ensure our estate is safe and fully compliant

- Recognised and registered CITB minimum three year apprenticeship in Carpentry/Joinery
- C&G Certificate in Carpentry/Joinery
- Carpentry/Joinery Benchwork NVQ 3
- Full UK driving licence for ability to drive Trust vehicles
Desirable
- City & Guilds Advanced Craft Certificate in Carpentry/Joinery
- BTEC, ONC in Building or equivalent
- Safety in the Use of Woodworking Machinery
Experience
Essential
- Two years relevant experience having demonstrated high technical versatility and flexibility
