Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Management Accountant to join the Finance team on a full time basis.
The finance team has recently been restructured, and this is therefore an exciting time to join a progressive and dynamic team.
The role will be supporting designated NSFT Corporate functions across the Trust and will play a supporting role in key strategic work, working closely with the Senior Leadership team.
The role reports directly to a Business Partner and supports the production of accurate and timely financial information, delivery of the Trust's efficiency program and strategic work including the annual planning process and complex business cases.
The successful candidates will be C.C.A.B. qualified (or due to qualify very soon) and have significant financial management experience, although
not necessarily with previous NHS or wider public sector experience.
Dependant on the candidates circumstances the formal base may be either Ipswich or Norwich on appointment and it will be possible to work part of the time from home.
NSFT supports flexible working and we will consider part time and flexible working requests in the fulfilment of these roles
Secondments from other NHS organisations are warmly welcomed.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will ensure that the Trust, through the Finance Business Partners and Head of Financial Management, is provided with relevant and timely financial information and advice and that both external and internal financial returns are undertaken in accordance with timetables.
The Post holder will have senior management accounts responsibility for designated corporate departments and will meet regularly with the corresponding budget managers and Trust Executives to review their financial position.
The role will play a key role with strategic planning, supporting the Finance Business Partners across localities and corporate areas with the annual plan, medium-term financial planning, national returns and complex and senior discussions with items such as Financial Recovery Plans.
