Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Practitioner to join the Youth Team in Great Yarmouth and Waveney. This is an innovative service working with young people aged 14-25 and their families. We are a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team and are passionate about working together to offer treatment and care to the young people who we support.
The role will involve working with young people with a range of complex presenting problems and will include direct psychologically informed interventions. We offer an environment where you can learn and further develop your skills, and your supervision will be available from within the team to support you. We have regular education sessions that are led by different members of the multi-disciplinary team and visiting professionals that aim to keep us all updated with the latest and best clinical knowledge. As a whole team we are keen to continue developing and to ensure that we are offering the best possible service to the young people we work with. We are looking for motivated people, with good interpersonal and communication skills, with the enthusiasm and drive, for working with children, young people and their families whilst they are going through a difficult and stressful period in their lives, in terms of their mental health and well-being.

Main duties of the job
Responsibility for actively participating as a key member of the clinical team for providing qualityservices for an identified client group under the supervision of a registered professional.Having undertaken a Foundation Degree level qualification will maintain, develop and evidenceclinical knowledge, skills and competencies at all opportunities and through the competencyframeworkDemonstrate an attitude which respects and values service users and their carers.Be accountable and work autonomously within clearly defined boundaries of the AssistantPractitioner competencies and carry out specific delegated tasks. This may include extendedroles delegated by a registered professional.Expected to deliver care and services within the strategic objectives of the organisation andpromote the principles of Recovery. These principles will recognise the need to promote safepractice; value the beliefs and aims of service users and carers; work in partnership and offermeaningful choice; and value social inclusionAssist in care clustering in relation to Payment by Results on admission and discharge underthe direction of a practitioner.
