Job summary
Are you B6 Occupational Therapist who wants to develop their skills and experience working with people with Complex Psychosis in the Norwich, North and South Norfolk area? We'd love for you to join us working in our new Rehabilitation for Complex Psychosis community mental health team based at Hellesdon Hospital in Norwich.
The fast growing team has a Consultant Psychiatrist, AHP lead, Lead Psychologist, Community mental health nurses, Occupational Therapists, CGL Senior Recovery workers, NCC Social workers. The team has been developed as part of the local community transformation programme and is focussed on improving the lives of adults with complex enduring psychosis with the aim of ensuring people can have rehabilitation when and where they need it.
Main duties of the job
You will be working alongside our AHP Lead in a multi disciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Community Mental Health Nurses, Peer Support Workers, Senior Support Workers, CGL and Social Workers.
You will drive the Occupational Therapy element of the rehabilitation pathway. Your role will involve providing comprehensive OT assessment and formulation to deliver specific OT interventions across the service user cohort, in collaboration with the MDT.
Supervision, professional development and staff welfare are important to the service and time and support will be available to engage in all these important roles. Our post holder would be able to attend any meetings and training in order to strengthen their understanding of Occupational Therapy and to maintain their evidence-based practice and CPD hours. A variety of CPD opportunities can be explored depending on your career pathway. The wider trust has a range of AHP networks which will support you in developing your Occupational Therapy skills, for example training in assessment tools and taking part in workstreams to further enhance AHP services.
