Job summary
A opportunity has arisen for a Fixed Term Band 7/8a clinical psychologist to join our established Multi-Disciplinary Community Rehabilitation Team.
The Community Rehabilitation Team provide specialist community rehabilitation and are one component of the Rehabilitation Pathway providing both inpatient and community services for adults with complex psychosis who have an identified rehabilitation need.
Our aim is to ensure people can experience rehabilitation when they need it, promoting a positive approach to long term recovery.
The post holder will participate fully in multi-disciplinary clinical teams and apply knowledge and skills in general aspects of clinical psychology, in particular, in the assessment, formulation and treatment of people under the care of the rehabilitation service.
You will receive clinical supervision from a Band 8b Clinical Psychologist who works in the Rehabilitation Pathway.
There may be opportunities to undertake further training depending on the skill mix of the team.
This position is open to a newly qualified psychologist starting at band 7 or as an experienced Band 8A.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of this role are to be part of an innovative, AHP led team delivering rehabilitation interventions in the community. There will be the opportunity for service development and evaluation. You will undertake psychological assessments, formulations and interventions as part of the MDT. There will also be an opportunity to develop group interventions and to design and deliver staff training both in-house and to other teams both within and outside of the Trust as appropriate.
This post would suit a qualified clinical psychologist with an interest in working with people with complex psychosis as well as an interest in service development. Newly qualified clinical psychologists are welcome to apply.
