We are looking to recruit an experienced professional mental health practitioner (nurse, occupational therapist, clinical psychologist or social worker) who has an excellent working knowledge and experience of community mental health working. You will ideally have prior experience, or wish to develop, team leadership / management and you will have a keen and driven interest and / knowledge base in Early Intervention in Psychosis.

This opportunity is offered as a six month fixed term or secondment post to cover maternity leave based in East Suffolk.

You will be working alongside a dedicated group of professionals who hold the service user, family, Carers and Social Recovery at the center of all that we deliver.

Main duties of the job

As an advanced clinical practitioner and leader with EIP Suffolk you will offer senior clinical contribution and supervision to specialist team assessment, formulation, treatment and care review governed under CPA .

You will be committed to ongoing service and clinical development inclusive of service user / carer involvement which will be paramount to ensure the effective implementation and sustained delivery of early intervention service protocols in line with National Clinical Institute of Excellence Quality Standards for EIP.

EIP Suffolk offers regular clinical and management supervision with an emphasis on reflective practice both as 1:1 and group sessions. We hold a strong belief in team and individual development. Essential

  • RMN, Dip SW, Dip OT or equivalent
  • Current professional registration

Desirable

  • Ongoing professional development working towards degree level
  • Post-basic teaching Qualification / Supervision training
  • ILM certificate in management or equivalent
  • Higher degree or post-graduate certificate in area of clinical / therapeutic practice

Experience

Essential

  • Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge of mental health practice from previous experience.
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience with risk assessment and ongoing management.
  • Evidence of leading service development within in a mental health setting
  • Collaborative working between services and working in partnership with statutory and voluntary services.

Desirable

  • Working in a community mental health team.
  • Experience in providing leadership in a mental health care environment.
