Laurel Ward is an 11 bedded mixed gender elderly inpatient ward caring for patients with dementia.
If you are an experienced Support Worker looking to develop your skills or someone looking to start your career within mental health, this could be a perfect opportunity!

Main duties of the job
- You will need to attend mandatory and statutory training and be aware of operational policy and procedures to ensure safe and high standard of care is delivered alongside the team
- If you want to make a positive impact on people's lives, then we would love you to be a part of our incredible team.
- Providing person centred care for older people with an organic mental illness and physical health problems.
- Assisting patients with personal care and dietary requirements
- Monitoring and recording of physical health
- Therapeutic observations
- Input with patients recovery plan
- Liaison and support to relatives and other services
- Recording on Patients clinical notes
- Escorting patients to appointments
- Assisting nursing staff with admission and discharge procedures.
