Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to appoint a Compliance Manager within the Estates and Facilities Directorate.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Estates & Facilities Directorate to be fully compliant with all relevant statute law, NHS standards and internal policies.
Working alongside Senior Maintenance Services Managers, the post holder will have specific knowledge on a wide range of statutory & mandatory compliance and have responsibility for the procurement & contract management of a range of contracted services.
Main duties of the job
To work effectively with Senior Maintenance Services Managers and the Trusts' Contracts team, the post holder will be responsible for the production of the tender specification & contract management of a range of contracted services for the Maintenance Services team.
Identification of all areas of current legislation, standards, best practice and equality and diversity pertinent to the services and activities provided by the department to ensure the Trusts' estate and Estates & Facilities Directorate meet the statutory compliance obligations around building & building services maintenance and fire safety.
Produce all policies, procedure notes and guidance documents necessary to ensure staff remain up to date and relevant with compliance of legal and mandatory requirements and carry out regular reviews.

- The post holder must be qualified to Degree Level or equivalent in an engineering or building related subject
Desirable
- Masters degree in an Estates related subject or equivalent ideally within compliance and auditing
Experience

- Demonstrable experience working at senior manager level managing a technical, multi-disciplinary team in a commercial, mental health or other health care estates.
- Acquired working knowledge and understanding of specialist Health Care Design Guidance documents, Health Technical Memoranda, Health Building Notes and Firecode.

- Experience of managing compliance related maintenance in a large organisational setting.
