Job summary

We are looking for two enthusiastic and committed assistant psychologists for the Norfolk and Waveney Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) service.

One post will primarily involve collecting data for a national clinical audit across the Norwich, Great Yarmouth and King's Lynn EIP teams, but will be based in the Norwich EIP team. The other post will involve collecting and disseminating routine outcome data for the Norwich and the King's Lynn EIP teams and will be half-based in Norwich and half-based in King's Lynn. If candidates have a preferred post, they should specify this in their supporting statement.

Please use your supporting statement to write an essay (of no more than 500 words) with the title, "What factors are important to consider when working with somebody experiencing psychosis?" Please note that applications that do not follow these guidelines will not be considered for shortlisting.

Main duties of the job

Both posts will offer opportunity to network with EIP teams in Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Waveney and King's Lynn as part of the 'Norfolk and Waveney EIP service'. In addition to data collection, successful candidates will attend clinical team meetings, administer assessments and deliver individual and group psychological interventions. There will also be opportunity to develop and conduct research and be involved in service evaluation and service user involvement projects.

Supervision will be provided by qualified clinical psychologists. There will also be opportunities for continuing professional development, including attendance at regular training events, team case discussion and reflective practice groups. The Norfolk and Waveney EIP teams and the CFYP service have clinical and research links with the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme at the University of East Anglia (UEA).
